My wireless rig is ordered and will be in my hands tomorrow. I'll have a full review in a week or so (after a gig) and an "open box" video of the entire rig this week. The contents of the rig, in detail, below.
En route is
All through Amazon of course. The big A is the best. I love the reviews, the return policy, track-ability, email notification at every step, links to other sites and their reviews - its the total package. After the manufacturer's site, Amazon is always the next site on the list - even just for basic research.
The Sure WA304 is a right angle 1/4 inch guitar cable with a TA4F end to attach to the wireless remote. All reviews on Line6 products said the Sure WA304 was a better cable and the right angle worked better than the stock Line6 strait cable.
** At the time of this post, the Sure site didn't list the WA304. The WA303 and WA305 are listed. However, Amazon has a listing for it.
The two Neotech items were well reviewed during a discussion on the best way to keep the remote unit safe. The clip on the back of the remote unit was said to be too weak to withstand much movement - which of course is the reason to buy the wireless setup in the first place. The Neotech pouch seems to solve that issue.
The eneloop batteries were well reviewed and rechargeable batteries were recommended by more than a few reviewers.
The Line6 Relay G55 looks to have most of the G90 functionality but in a 1/2 rack space. I don't use a rack so the G90 would be hand carried - not a safe way to travel. And it would be big - wider than my amp - which is just asking to be knocked off during gigs. The G50 was a stomp box and its form factor fits into a peddle board perfectly. Of course, I don't use a peddle board.
The G55 seems like the perfect fit.
