Dom, Ellen, Jeffery, and I performing Tom Petty's Angel Dream (No.2) using the acapella app (iOS). I used my GK MB150E/112 with the iPhone mic sitting right in front of the speaker. I then turned up the bass EQ. The mic on the iPhone is not bass-friendly so I had to enhance the bass tone to get a decent recorded bass sound.

I'm going direct with no bass rig and using a stage monitor as my "rig'. The Warmoth Jazz sounds big, fat, and its B-string is fantastically musical.

Dig Deeper is... JD on guitar and vocals... Isaac on drums/percussion... and some bonehead on bass who looks like an old prospector from the 1800s. I'd forgotten I had a summer where I let the beard dress up like a rat's nest. My Warwick bass and my GK's MB150E/112.

Garage band days...1980s. Mike, Darren, Kraig, and I. There were a few other guest singers over the years, but we core four were the glue. We called ourselves the HighTops.
I've been in many bands and musical situations since then but none of them compare to the fun and bonding I did with these guys. From preforming crammed in kitchens to looking lost in front of a stadium. Rehearsals were a combination of sweating buckets in the summer and freezing in the winter...all in the cozy cramped space knows as Mike's mother's one car garage.
I honestly cannot think of a better and more enjoyable way to learn one's instrument.
