I'm really enjoying the Warwick restrung with the piccolo strings. So much that I am thinking "what if I get an octave pedal and try to play it like a normal bass in a band setting?"
So that, of course, led me to do research on bass octave pedal.
A quick Amazon search pulled up.....
Jim Dunlop M288 Bass Octave Pedal Dlx
EBS OctaBass Tripple Mode Bass Octave Divider
Boss OC-3 Super Octave
Ashdown Sub-Octave Plus Bass Amplifier Pedal
Fulltone Ultimate Octave Pedal
I then ran across
http://www.godlyke.com/totally-wycked-audio-effects-pedals/great-divide
Yegods! Talk about choices. I've never used an octave pedal so I have no starting point. I think a question or two to the guitar players in the band might be a start.
I've been reading reviews and watching youtube "how-to's" but I still don't know enough to pick one over the other.
More on this later as it develops.
