My rig for the gig at Main Street Restaurant last Friday night.
Warwick Thumb NT (neck thru design) 5 string
Eden D112XST speaker cabinet
Eden WT405 power amplifier
Line 6 G55 guitar wireless system
I ran a line out from the Eden amp to the FOH (front of house) system so my rig was really a stage monitor.
Everything worked great and sounded even better.
I really liked how the D112 speaker sounded. I usually run the D112 with the crossover/tweeter level set at 3. For this gig, I turned it off - and I loved the sound. Punchy, slightly aggressive, and with a good deal of low end. The D112 doesn't have the rounded full, low end of the D210XST but then again it doesn't weight 67 pounds either.
The only disappointing aspect of the gig were the batteries I used on the Line 6 G55 remote. I tried to get the eneloop XX rechargeable AAs to work with the G55 remote unit - but they would not. Really a drag. I will need to get it in my head that a four pack of AA batteries are needed prior to each gig

The G55 itself worked perfectly. Never a dropped signal the entire night. I am really happy with the unit.
The "usage" of the batteries for a three to four hour gig was about half. Which matches what the display on the G55 remote read. With a fresh new set of AAs, the G55 display read 8.4 hours. At the end of the gig, the display read 4.0 hours.
The Warwick sounded and felt fantastic, as usual. I do really love that bass.
The Eden amp sounded good and I really like the non-tone adjusting front plate controls: mute and speaker off/on. I will not have another amp without those features. They enable me to tune quietly and hear my tone in the FOH system without the color of my speaker setup (what ever it happens to be). Very useful features.
In other news, August looks pretty light for gigs and as a result, I might throw in a few botany 101 posts - in addition to the usual gear hunt post. I've been looking at getting a Warmoth fretted 5 string neck to replace the fretless neck on my Warmoth 5 string jazz. The Warmoth "in stock showcase" bass necks are a good mixture of the various options available.
